A Baby, A Rocker, An Idea
It was a typical July night in South Louisiana. Outside, the muggy air resonated with the calls of insects, while the inside of our home rang with the activity of my very active, very awake toddler son. My husband was rocking our little girl to sleep in her bedroom while I wrangled with the boy.
After laying our girl down for the night, my husband approached me with a look of curiosity.
“So, you know how there’s Instacart and Uber Eats and Wal-Mart Delivery people use to order and have their groceries delivered?” he asked me.
“Yes,” I replied.
“To place your order, you use their app, right?”
“Well, yeah. What about it?”
“What if you don’t want to use an app to get your groceries delivered?” He responded.
“I guess you go and shop for them yourself,” I said ready to move on to a new conversation.
“What if you struggle with mobility or transportation, or you’re just too busy raising a family or building a career and you don’t have the capacity or desire to use an app? What if you’re an older adult, like my grandmother, who’d rather place a phone call to order her grocery delivery?”
“I don’t know. I guess you rely on friends and family? What’s the point?” I asked, really ready to end the conversation.
“What if there is a grocery delivery service where you can call a number, speak to a real, local person, and place your grocery delivery order? And for the busy families and professionals, what if you could send a text or an email with your grocery list? Would that not be awesome?! How many seniors would LOVE to chat with a friendly human versus trying to figure out a mobile app or relying on their family?!”
As I stood there digesting his words, the overwhelming need for such a service hit me. My mind played back so many phone calls from both of our grandparents who needed help with this, or needed that picked up from the store, or needed to be driven somewhere. And of course, we’re always more than happy to help but with the chaos of raising young children, our grandparents often waited several days for our help.
How many of you find yourself in the same situation? If you take the time to consider this, think about all of the delivery and pick-up programs available for our convenience. How many of those can you call and place your order over the phone? I can’t think of any. Can you?
My grandparents, the senior market, and busy people are underserved in the grocery delivery space. Therefore, I’m dedicated to bringing the best grocery delivery service with the friendliest team.
We aim to brighten your day, greet you with a smile, and remove the burden of grocery shopping so you can spend more time with your loved ones. We’re not just in the grocery delivery business; we’re in the business of enhancing your quality of life with a smile. 🙂
